Mawahib is a freelancing website that is specifically tailored for the Moroccan market. It is designed to connect Moroccan freelancers with clients who are looking for their services. The website allows users to create profiles that showcase their skills and experience, so that potential clients can easily find and hire them. The user interface is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, so that clients can quickly and easily navigate the website and find what they are looking for. Overall, Mawahib is a valuable resource for Moroccan freelancers looking to find work and grow their businesses.
We conducted 4 two-week-long sprints to explore the problem and come up with solutions. During the first sprint, we focused on understanding the problem and conducting interviews with freelancers and stakeholders. In the second sprint, we worked with the Mawahib team to generate ideas. In the final two sprints, we produced and tested various deliverables, such as flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs. We interviewed a total of 16 people and learned that the main issues for Moroccan freelancers were payment methods and a lack of local community. Our redesign proposal aimed to address these issues by creating a familiar experience and providing local community support and payment options.
As a result of our design process, we created a modern and clean web design that is easy to navigate and use. Because we were working on a freelancing platform, we ensured that our design was not too different from the competition, so as not to confuse users who may be accustomed to using other platforms. We also took advantage of existing mental models to make our platform as user-friendly as possible. In this way, we aimed to create a design that was both visually appealing and intuitive to use.
